Author's Notes:I was reading the posts on The Lounge forum and this just came to me. Lines in single quotes are thoughts. Before reading this it helps to picture the tag scene cause I just jump right in.
'I could kiss her.'
'Is he gonna kiss me?'
'I think he might'
'Should I kiss her?'
'He should kiss me.'
'What if she doesn't kiss back?'
'What if he doesn't kiss me?'
'Her lips are so close'
'I could kiss him'
'Is she gonna kiss me?'
'I think she might'
'Should I kiss him?'
'I wonder if she will?'
'What if he doesn't kiss back?'
'What if she doesn't kiss me?'
'Ok, I'll do it--'
'I'll just do it--'
Just then, the door opened. Lee and Amanda tried to straighten up as quickly as they could.
"Here are the rest of those...reports." Francine hesitated, her usual smirk in place. "Am I interrupting something?"
"No, Francine," Lee quickly replied, glancing at Amanda.
"Not at all, Francine," Amanda added, moving to take the reports from Francine.
"Thank you, Francine," Lee said, and walked to the door, ushering Francine out.
"Now, you two behave. Don't do anything I would do," Francine remarked on her way out.
When she was gone and the door was shut, they both began to speak.
"Lee, I should--"
"You go ahead," Lee offered, smiling at her.
"Well, I was just going to say that I should get going, you know, to get ready for tonight."
"Right," Lee agreed. "Pick you up at 7?"
Amanda smiled at him. "Sounds great," she said, handing the reports to Lee. "I'll see you then," she said as she walked out the door. Closing the door behind her, she leaned up against the wall. 'Darn you, Francine.'
Inside the Q-Bureau, Lee was leaning up against the wall
next to the door. 'Damn you, Francine.'
